We have known Mikhail Karpovich for a long time, and more than once, as a guide/organizer, we have fished in the Mediterranean Sea, in the Seychelles, and, of course, in the Maldives.
This time we spent the night in a guest house, which was not much different from a good hotel, and every day we went to sea on the same yacht. They caught both inside the atoll and in the open ocean, but without long jumps on the waves with lambs. Regarding the "lambs", the remark is not idle - we got a windy week. But, thanks to his good knowledge of the water area, Mikhail always chose places where the drift and wind allowed him to catch "in the cast".
I was pleasantly surprised by the large number of good-sized elofins tuna. Our whole team (4 fishermen) caught, among others, more than 40 kg of fish, and one day I managed to pull out a male who pulled 55 kg on the shore scales.
Of course, on some days fishing was hindered by a large number of sharks that ate either spotted tuna, or poppers and sliders. However, it was a great help and convenience that Mikhail had well-working baits in the coastal store, which at reasonable prices could fill the gaps that had formed.
It is possible to note the professional work of the team both when managing the yacht, and when lifting large fish on board, and in relation to gear, including their desalination.
We will wait for the next meeting with the team, the opportunity to find out new fishing secrets from Mikhail and the continuation of the dispute about which fresh sashimi tastes better: from bluefin or elofin.

My husband and I have been fond of sea fishing for more than 10 years. But it was in the Maldives and it was with Mikhail Karpovich 6 years ago that they first tried sea casting. Since then, we have been catching trophy specimens in the Seychelles, PNG (Papua New Guinea), Oman, Fiji. In my photo gallery there are large GT (50+), wahoo, sharks, dog-toothed, mahi-mahi, groupers ... However, I caught my largest elofins (45+) in January 2022 in the waters of the southern Maldives from a boat captained by Fasil. I can say that the fight with a large yellowfin is remembered for a long time.
It's nice that in addition to the excellent fishing organized for us by Mikhail Karpovich, I remember for a long time a good guest house, a yacht convenient for fishing, and the confident work of Captain Fasil. It's nice when the team chooses a nice uninhabited island with snow-white sand and emerald lagoons, and sometimes fresh coconuts for a short rest on the ground during lunch every time. Thank you to the entire host team for being attentive, diligent and friendly.
I think it is not surprising that we are going to visit this island again, and under the strict guidance of Mikhail to update our fishing records.

We went with a group of 6 people for the first time to the Maldives to visit Mikhail. Of us, only I used to fish, and my comrades held a fishing rod for the first time.

Firstly, we caught a lot of fish, everything that was less than 20 kg was not even considered. On this trip I caught the biggest trophy, yellowfin tuna, 30-40 kg was the weight. As a result of our fishing, everyone was satisfied, a huge human thank you to Mikhail! In reality, Mikhail clearly knows what he is doing, has a lot of experience, works really in his place, without nerves, with a good organization. I will say this, for me this fishing was remembered with good organization and accommodation. I am also glad that there is an opportunity to stay at the hotel, take guest visits at the hotel. If you just want to get high from being on the ocean, on the island, from communication, then this is clearly for Mikhail. I highly recommend it and I will visit him more than once. Misha, hi! Thank you very much for such a fishing trip. We didn't expect to go fishing like this. We were driving, we thought we would rest. And here is a solid action. On the first day, Kostya and I caught 5 elofins each in the ocean. And their size is not bad, all about 1.3 m. On the second day, before 11 o'clock in the morning!!! We caught 9 elofins for two. One of them is my personal best of 1.40 m by 96 cm . And in general it was fun. The attacks were very beautiful, breakers, fish flew out of the water… Sometimes 3-4 fishermen had bites at once. And then the disco started. Time on fishing runs fast, and in the company of great guys even faster. And here we are at home, living with memories and watching videos

Mish, when you invited me to the Maldives, the intrigue took place in the fact that I saw a beautiful photo of fishing. This fishing was the most vivid impression of the summer. First of all, I remember the underwater staged show, the first feeling of immersion, adrenaline.
I really liked the island, it's incredibly beautiful.
As for the fishing itself, the most interesting thing is that it is possible to rent a boat with a group every day for an incredibly cheap price for a whole day and most importantly to a desert island, you feel like Robinson Crusoe. When you see a boat filled with a dozen tuna, you just don't believe that this happens in reality.
By the way, I forgot to mention the beach on the island, where we saw a stingray, which I stepped on and kicked, thinking that it was a wedge leaf and such delight, joy and insane fear that it was a stingray. And this grouper that I caught, incredibly huge in size with a terrifying head, it's unforgettable!
Mish, honestly, I have a vivid impression of your humor and optimism. That is, as a guide accompanying you to ocean fishing, you are simply priceless, just fabulously good in this regard.
